If I had the energy (and time), I would like to build a true
peer-to-peer social network. All communication over link-local
addresses and Bluetooth. Add bluetooth+wifi storage beacons to
cache messages from passers-by and let others who come later
pick them up. Need some news? Walk down to the local beacon 
and pick up the latest gossip.
